You do not need to have everything decided at this stage of the conversation. Our talented team of designers will work with you throughout the process from start to finish.
All of our furniture is made to order using responsibly-sourced domestic hardwood, making every piece a unique heirloom-quality masterpiece for you and your family to enjoy for generations to come. We hand-select every board, inspecting closely for both beauty and quality, and finish with high quality hardware, components, and natural wood finishing products. Each piece is proudly built in the Pacific Northwest by our passionate and dedicated team of career craftsmen.

We lean on responsibly sourced domestic hardwood species like Willamette walnut, white oak, maple, cherry, madrone, and myrtle.
First cuts
Every piece is unique. Every board has a story.
Using the agreed upon plans created by our internal designers, our small team mills each board by hand, according to its unique grain, knots, and sapwood. We feel that every board has a story, and our canvas is your furniture.
Taking shape
Solid wood furniture with a solid foundation.
Once your piece has been milled, our builders start giving it its shape. This is when your piece begins transforming from “lumber” to hand-crafted furniture.
Meticulous attention is paid the joints, edges, and any custom requests like soft-close hinges and under-mount slides.

A natural oil-wax blend is hand-rubbed into the wood’s grain yielding a naturally accentuated finish that exceeds expectations. Tomfoolery’s finishing takes a lot longer than other finish processes, but the result is well worth the effort!
Milestone achieved
Form-fitting custom crates for every piece we ship.
We foam and stretch wrap each shipment for scratch protection, and to act as a moisture barrier. Then, we carefully place your piece into a custom built wood shipping crate where it will be securely enclosed by plywood on all 6 sides.
